“Limi Feu took on classic fashions of the city in which she shows her collection, creating a typically punk twist on feminine French looks for F/W 12. Beyond the slouchy knit berets, knee socks and suspenders, long sleeved silk dresses with white contrast collars, a-line coats with oversized buttons and tapered silk trousers comprised the uniform of a vintage Parisian gamine. But this was a Limi Feu presentation, which meant a healthy dose of Japanese irreverence as well. Models showed off facial piercings, disheveled hair and deconstructed voluminous layers. The sweetness of the street urchin was found in high-waist pants paired with pinstriped menswear coats, oversized jumpsuits layered atop turtlenecks and cropped peacoats, while several corset tops lent welcome structure to a handful of incongruous peasant dresses.”
